TEME VALLEY MOTODURO

posted 31 Jan 2012 11:44 by polesworth mx

TEME VALLEY MOTODURO
27th MARCH 2011

The Teme Valley club have released an update on their forthcoming Motoduro. The course has been extensively changed, and the sections with the roots that caused problems last year have been left out. This should allow the circuit to flow better and avoid the “one line” situation in certain places. Whilst the regular Enduro boys had no problems, it was a bit tricky for the riders on MX bikes, so to give them a bit more excitement this year, we have included an uphill “fireroad” climb through the woods nearly ¾ mile long! Top speed recorded today was 55mph on a 300 KTM XC when we were setting the course out! Sorry but there are no off camber slippery woodland sections or big holes full of freezing water though! Also unlike Coney Green farm, where the Fast Eddy is running this weekend, the track is not worn out, full of 4x4 ruts and rubbish, and is only used once a year for this event.

As an added attraction for the spectators, the land owner, Bob, has again included a large pile of rocks and some telegraph poles, which he has used to construct additional optional “Extreme” sections for the serious Enduro riders, who may think the other special sections are too easy!

The event is run under AMCA rules and insurance with a full medical crew on standby. Adult classes will be as in AMCA motocross i.e.MX1/MX2 in Experts, Seniors, Juniors and a “Sportsman” class for the less competitive riders. All will receive trophies for top 3 in each class. These will run from 11am till 12 noon. Interval 90min. Second leg-1.30pm till 2.30pm finish. The Interjunior classes will run after each adult race and they will have two 45 minute races.

The date is March 27th 2011 at Clifton on Teme, Worcestershire. The track is between the Church and Church House Farm, just on the outskirts of the village. Postcode WR6 6DJ. Grid reference: SO 717615.

Any rider with a dirt bike is welcome, but all riders will need to be registered with the AMCA at a cost of £15 if they do not hold a 2011 AMCA motocross licence, which can be done on the day. Adults entry fee is £32 right up to the day while Interjunior entry is £28, who can pay on the day but must have an AMCA full licence, or an Enduro Licence issued by the AMCA office no later than the Wednesday before the event. All spectators are free of charge. AMCA Transponders will be used for lap scoring and can be hired on the day at a cost of £5.

Camping, Trade stands, Catering and all facilities are available. Entries are filling up fast, so if you are interested in entering, more details or an entry form can be downloaded from www.amca.uk.com, tvmx.regs@btinternet.com or davidmorris@tvmx.co.uk or Nick Clarke on 07759894061 or Dave Morris on 07775883320. There is a maximum limit of 250 riders (including Inters) so entries will be processed on a first come basis and close when full.

Steel bar to be used behing start gate at all future meetings

posted 31 Jan 2012 11:36 by polesworth mx

Many riders commented / complained people where taking advantage of 'no steel bar behind the start' and positioning there bikes so they could see the starter operate the gate or be rolling forward as the gate dropped.

Therefore this year all clubs are to use the steel bar, Wooden sleepers or a dirt bank step behind the start gate (in line with the rulebook) to stop riders from positioning there bikes to far back.
